The first release of Calmly Script, for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android: a screenplay editor that keeps your script in Fountain, plain text that any other app can open.

  • Enter and Tab know what comes next in a screenplay: a heading, action, a character, a speech.
  • Autocomplete from your own script: characters, places, times of day, extensions and transitions.
  • The Outline lists your scenes, sections and notes, with Find and Replace beside it.
  • A paginated preview and industry-standard pages, on Letter or A4, for screenplays, stage plays, multi-camera sitcoms and manuscripts, withscene numbers when you want them and(MORE) and (CONT'D) in the screenplay's own language.
  • Import from Final Draft, PDF and Word; export to PDF, Word and Final Draft.
  • Version history and automatic backups.
  • A sample screenplay to start from: Sintel, by Esther Wouda, from the Blender Foundation's short film.
  • Colour themes, and room for a VS Code theme of your own; the app in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese.
