Keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in Calmly Script, menu by menu, for Windows and Linux and for a Mac.

Every command with a keyboard shortcut is in a menu, and the menu shows its shortcut beside it. This page lists them all, taken from the app’s own menus. On a Mac, File › Settings is in the Calmly Script menu instead, with the same shortcut.

Keys in the editor

These keys are not in a menu, because they are how you write:

Key What it does
Enter↩ Starts the next line, as the element a screenplay expects next. On an empty line, turns it back into action; on an empty line of action, adds a blank line.
TabTab Changes the line to the next element in the cycle, or accepts the suggestion showing in grey. On a title-page line under another one, indents it.
Shift+Tab⇧Tab Changes the line to the previous element in the cycle.

Enter and Tab has the whole cycle.
